Please Support Us

Plymouth Community Ambulance Association (PCAA) is a non-profit organization of career professionals and volunteers who strive to provide the best medical care possible to the residents and visitors in the communities we serve (Plymouth Township, East Norriton Township, West Norriton Township, Bridgeport Borough, Norristown Borough, Worcester Township, Lower Frederick Township, Upper Frederick Township, Schwenksville Borough, Perkiomen Township, Upper Salford Township and Limerick Township).

Our ambulances respond to more than 15,000 emergency calls per year, and we depend on donations and membership fees to staff our ambulances and train our EMTs and Paramedics. We also rely on this income to purchase the lifesaving equipment needed to provide this vital service. Emergency ambulance transports can cost in excess of $1,000, and most insurances do not pay 100% of the charge.

People Helping People

Plymouth Community Ambulance Association has been providing emergency medical care since 1962 and remains committed to providing the best medical care possible to the residents and visitors in the communities we serve. In 2019, we responded to more than 15,000 emergency calls from Plymouth Township, East Norriton Township, West Norriton Township, Bridgeport Borough, Norristown Borough, Worcester Township, Lower Frederick Township, Upper Frederick Township, Schwenksville Borough, Perkiomen Township, Upper Salford Township, and Limerick Township.

Your Donation Saves Lives

Your charitable gift will provide essential funding to purchase life saving medical and personal protective equipment urgently needed to protect our front-line first responders as well as your family, neighbors, and community. Your donation will mean that you and your loved ones will have top-of-the-line equipment and quality medical service in the most serious of situations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days of the year.

Our Need is Critical & Immediate

As call volume grows every year in our service area, the strain placed on our medical equipment is significant. Additionally, we have responded to the COVID-19 pandemic with steps to keep our first responders and community members safe. The purchasing of protective equipment and decontamination products, to ensure health and safety, has placed a heavy demand on our organization financially.

Funding Facts

Replacing and maintaining life saving equipment each year costs $750,000 and the annual cost of personal protective equipment has increased from $40,000 to $200,000 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Municipal support, while important, currently only covers about 3% of our annual budget. Since we are not fully taxpayer funded and costs are increasing, we rely on contributions from caring community members like you to maintain our life saving services.
